Homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Okay, so this might be kind of a strange recipe to share, BUT I love my sauces and a lot of grocery store teriyaki contains ingredients I don’t want in my body. Thus, I love this simple to make, yummy for so many meals, teriyaki sauce recipe! I hope you enjoy it and be sure and tag me @gooddaylifestyle when you use it on your own meals. #goodfood #goodday

Ingredients:

½ cup water

¼ cup honey, maple syrup or sweetener of choice

¼ cup liquid aminos or soy sauce

2 Tbsp vinegar

1 Tbsp sesame oil

1-2 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 tsp fresh ginger root

1 Tbsp arrowroot starch or corn starch

1 drop ginger essential oil

1 drop black pepper essential oil

Add first eight ingredients (all but the essential oils) in a small saucepan.

Stir with a whisk and turn heat to medium.

Stir frequently, heat until it begins to boil and thicken.

All to slow boil for around 30 seconds and remove from heat.

Add essential oils and stir to mix.

Use as a dipping sauce, baked chicken wings, ramen bowl, veggie rice bowl, etc.
